My Background and Introduction into Teas and Raw & Living Foods…
I am a Graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Attended the University of Hawaii for one year where I studied Management with a focus in the Hospitality Industry.
Following graduation, I held a role in management for Soup and Salad, a restaurant chain in the Boston area. I eventually left the food service industry and decided to pursue a career in residential real estate. I remained in the real estate field for approximately ten years as an agent and then followed that as an Independent Real Estate Investor.
My wife Karen and I moved to Florida in 2002, where my path eventually led me back to my true passion in the hospitality industry.
Our paths together led us to the raw-vegan culinary industry and retail loose leaf tea business as something that merged both my wife Karen’s degree in nursing and my past experience in the restaurant industry. People are now looking for a healthier, more sustainable way of living and eating. A raw-vegan, tea and chocolate bar/marketplace is our way of sharing with people the benefits of non-processed, non-manipulated, organic natural foods and teas from around the world. We are here to make eating healthy, fun, energizing and appealing.
Although I am not the full 100% organic-raw-vegan that she is, I can honestly and completely attest to the incredible amount of sustained energy and vitality that I experience when living more of her lifestyle.
Karen – being an avid researcher and strong advocate of “whole” food as medicine and key to longevity – has inspired me to learn and expand my own knowledge base. I’m proud to say that I am “successfully” – a work in progress and very fortunate to have someone with my wife’s knowledge.
